Senior yearbook photos

Senior pictures for the Yearbook are due by October 31, 2016.  Pictures received after October 31, 2016 are not guaranteed to be included in the yearbook. Please submit your photos to Sarah Cowan, Yearbook Advisor. There are 4 ways to submit:

  1. Email a JPEG to cowan_sarah@salkeiz.k12.or.us (most preferable).  Please include your full name in the email subject.
  2. Bring a JPEG on a flashdrive or CD to room 135
  3. Have your photographer email a copy to cowan_sarah@salkeiz.k12.or.us
  4. Bring a printed photo to Mrs. Cowan in room 135 to be scanned.  (this is the least preferable due to image quality)

Criteria for photo submission:

  • Must be a headshot (from the waist up)
  • Photo must be VERTICAL
  • Please submit a photo of the highest resolution… no selfies or screen shots.

Note that most photos will end up being cropped as to focus in on the seniors’ face.  The best pictures for the yearbook are close-ups focusing on the seniors’ head and shoulders.  Any pictures deemed inappropriate or offensive will not be used.

If you are not submitting photos digitally, please bring in a print that is at least wallet-sized (3 x 2 inch) and reproduced professionally.  Many home printers do not print photos that reproduce well in the yearbook.  Please note, we may not be able to return actual prints. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.  We want your senior yearbook to have the best possible picture of you in its pages.

NSHS Theater Arts program presents..

North Salem High School Theater Arts presents…

PLAY ON!

This is the hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance in which anything that can go wrong does. Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter.

Playing in the NSHS Auditorium:

September 29th, 30th, October 6th, 7th, and 8th at 7pm.

Matinee October 8th at 2pm.

Pink Out

Friday October 7th,

We will be having a Pink Out Assembly. The NSHS Football team hosts South Salem that night, and for the past few years we’ve encouraged students and parents to wear pink (or buy an official Pink Out t-shirt from Leadership) for a Breast Cancer Awareness night. Shirts will be sold during both lunches during the week of October 3-7.

Parent University

North Salem High School is committed to educating our parents about how to prepare their student academically for graduation and college admission to the school of their choice.  At these meetings parents will learn about the academic path and the financial planning so they can assist their students in the process of meeting graduation requirements and attending college.
