Required School Vaccines Deadline February 21, 2024

child-vaccination

If your child is not up-to-date on required 2023-24 school immunizations for the State of Oregon or does not have a valid exemption on file, they will be excluded from valuable instruction time due to the state-mandated vaccination deadline on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

The statewide requirement applies to all children enrolled for five or more days per school year in a school or preschool or five or more days per calendar year in other children’s facilities. This will include Salem-Keizer students within the EDGE program.

Schedule Vaccinations

Now is the time to schedule immunizations with your childcare provider.

More information, including a full list of required immunizations for the 2023-24 school year can be found on our district website and on all school websites.

It’s important to know that this does not include a required vaccination for COVID-19. Students will not be excluded on Feb. 21 for not having received a vaccination for COVID-19.
