As we head into summer break, we want to say “thank you” to our community for approving the 2018 bond!
Because of the community’s support, our school will receive many improvements that will address overcrowding, prepare us to serve our growing enrollment, and improve school safety.
Construction is expected to start at North in summer 2019. When construction is complete, we’ll have 20 new classrooms, a new science lab, two additional career-technical education spaces, a new main gym, a new auxiliary gym, a satellite commons area and kitchen, an updated electronic badge access system and more!
We can expect that construction will take place during the 2019-20 school year. Our school design team will work with the district’s bond program management team to minimize disruption of the educational environment caused by construction. However, it’s important for parents, students and staff to be aware that school operations will be different during construction. In spite of the expected disruption, our staff’s commitment to student safety and success will be unchanged during construction.
We’ll share more information about construction at North in the next few months. Please keep an eye on your newsletter and on our website.
Thank you, once again, to the Salem-Keizer community for supporting students and schools by approving the 2018 bond!
