Salem-Keizer Public Schools is happy to announce we will be hosting two events to feature the documentary Screenagers. This documentary is designed to delve into the struggles our students face with technology and the issues of social media, video games, academics and internet addiction.
When are these showings?
- Wednesday, April 11 | Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE, Salem
- Tuesday, April 24 | Keizer Civic Center, 930 Chemawa Road NE, Keizer
We will also be hosting a Q&A panel consisting of members of SKPS staff, Salem and Keizer Police Departments, and Marion County Health Department. This panel is designed to continue the important dialogue with our parents and community members around how we can keep our students safe and healthy online. This will not be an opportunity for school specific concerns or personal matters concerning students. Debbie Joa, Prevention and Protection Coordinator for SKPS, will be at the event should a parent/guardian wish to privately discuss a personal matter involving their child. Debbie will then forward information to the appropriate school administrator. For more information visit https://www.screenagersmovie.com/
